Longtime Kinks guitarist Dave Davies will release his sixth solo album, titled, I Will Be Me, on June 4th. The first single is titled “Little Green Amp." Davies will support the release of the record with a 12-show US tour, starting with a three-night stand at New York’s City Winery this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Rod Stewart's new album Time is number one on the UK charts. It marks his first UK chart-topper since 1979's Greatest Hits Volume 1 and his first of original material since 1976's A Night On The Town. Stateside, Time hit the Billboard 200 album charts at Number Seven.
Yesterday, the Beach Boys shared sonic slivers of their epic 50th anniversary world tour with the release of the two disc set, The Beach Boys Live: The 50th Anniversary Tour. Alan O’Day, who scored a major hit in 1977 with the catchy “Undercover Angel," died Friday after losing his battle with cancer. He was 72. In addition to enjoying success with his own pop nugget, O’Day wrote a healthy amount of hits for other artists, including “Rock and Roll Heaven” for the Righteous Brothers, “Angie Baby” for Helen Reddy, and “Train of Thought” for Cher. His songs were also covered by artists including The 5th Dimension, Ton Jones, Paul Anka, Three Dog Night, Tony Orlando, and Johnny Mathis, among others.
